He was raised and educated in Kaitaia before moving to Auckland to go to university. While still living in New Zealand, he was in a motorcycle accident that resulted in persistent back pain. A devoted family man, he manages to balance his career with regular involvement in his son's basketball team and his daughter's netball team. He got the nickname "Wedge" from his younger brother Jack, who still lives in New Zealand, along with their parents. He lives in Willetton with his wife and two children.
Career History[]
Wes started off his career as a general duties officer at Cannington police station and stayed there as a detective. He transferred to Major Crime Squad from Special Crime Squad because he was “sick of just picking up cold cases when it's too late to make a difference”.
